When you need to insert a key that does not have a shoulder into the jaw, just slide the tip-stop upwards, push your key forward, tighten your jaw down, and let the tip-stop drop back down. Stays safely out of the way during cutting and calibration.
The IC Cores version is made specifically for tip-stopping small-format interchangeable core keys (SFIC), a particularly irritating thing to do. This product will save you a lot of frustration!
Please match up the A and B sides of the tip-stop to the A and B sides of the jaw when installing.
WARNING: Because of the way the jaw and the SFIC keys are designed, this tip stop is a little fragile. Please be gentle when pushing your keys forward into the tip stop.
